HELEN THOMAS, is a veteran news wire reporter, Hearst Newspaper columnist, member of the WHITE HOUSE PRESS CORPS and best-selling author.

MS. THOMAS & PRESIDENT OBAMA, celebrate the same birthday, & sat together on the front row; enjoying cake. The Front Row is HELEN’S permanent seat at WHITE HOUSE PRESS conferences!

HELEN served for 57 years as a correspondent and, later, WHITE HOUSE Bureau Chief for UNITED PRESS INTERNATIONAL. MS. THOMAS has covered every president since JOHN F. KENNEDY.

She was also the first female officer of the NATIONAL PRESS CLUB, as well as the first female member and president of the WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDANTS ASSOCIATION.
